Imagine hanging pom-poms, 5 different types of bulletin board borders, neon background paper, owl shaped pencil cups, and a safari themed teacher desk. Ok, I am exaggerating, but you get the point. I am not sure when us teachers became so caught up in the game of making our classrooms look like we were throwing a birthday party with a carefully selected theme. When I began teaching, there was nothing I loved more that spending money time at the teacher store loading up on classroom decorations.
